Al Gore: A Generational Challenge to Repower America
Today former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore laid out an ambitious call to action to transform the way we generate and use electricity.
He challenged America to commit to producing 100 percent of our electricity from renewable energy and truly clean carbon-free sources within ten years.
As energy prices climb to the top of the nation’s attention, a battle is waging between those who want to protect the status quo and those who are calling for a mobilization to rapidly move to a cleaner energy future that tackles the climate crisis, reduces dependency on fossil fuels, creates jobs, and gives Americans real energy choices.
We must now embrace this challenge and together we will change history. Watch the speech at http://www.wecansolveit.org

Mr. Schweiger and Al Gore are both idiots. Al Gore lost the election because he couldn't carry his home state because people here know he is a phoney. All this carbon selling is a way for Gore to make more money. You folks tend to talk in abosolutes and there are no abosolutes except in math. Give me a break. Back in the 80's when all these liberal politicians were voting to destroy all our wildlife habitat with poisons and chemicals, you folks never said a word. As an old quail hunter I can say they are about all gone so what do I care about the damn moose! Drill, Drill, Drill!

Dear Mr. Schweiger:
Larry, you might want to alter the type of science you study to get a more long range factual picture of reality. Try geology and astronomy.
One of the problems with environmental alarmists is they frame things with the short range perspective of human lifetimes, or even several human lifetimes. Geology clearly shows the facts in stone, and the record doesn't support CO2 as being anathema. Global warmeng(and cooling) does occur, but over tens of thousands of years, and the CO2 levels have been much higher than now, and life flurished.
Aacceptance of current alarmist theories are supported by a tiny minority of "scientists", and even as we speak the theories don't match the evidence of what's happening right now. The alarmists' "evidence" is out of date already.
